AWS Well-Architected Reviews

The AWS Well-Architected reviews are a vital component of the Well-Architected Framework, designed to assist your organisation in constructing secure, high-performing, and efficient infrastructure for your applications.

AWS Well-Architected Reviews
Made up of 6 pillars, the framework offers a consistent approach to assess architectures and implement designs that can scale over time. The Well-Architected review serves as an evaluation tool, providing insights into your organisations alignment with the framework, and offering a comprehensive understanding of your current standing.

Completing an AWS Well-Architected review is not a critique of existing workloads; instead, it offers visibility, a roadmap, and remediation options against a set of best practice standards. The review ensures that your organisation can focus on critical areas, potentially preventing events that could be detrimental to your company. It is recommended to conduct reviews at key milestones throughout the lifecycle of any workload, allowing for continuous improvement and risk reduction for the organisation.

What to expect:

The discovery phase will vary in duration, ranging from half a day to a full day, depending on side of the workload. Following this, a report will be generated, and a session will be arranged to present the findings to key stakeholders.

Outputs:

  • A report describing your alignment against the Well-Architected Framework.
  • A prioritised list of High Risk-Items (HRIs) established by your alignment against the pillars of the framework.
  • Greater visibility of the key risk areas of your workload, and a recommended roadmap.
